Division is a Southern California-based shop built by working film industry grips to support the crews who bring big ideas to life. From film sets to live events to branded experiences, we help teams move fast, build with confidence, and adapt on the fly.
We specialize in modular truss systems, structural support, and custom-fabricated parts that solve the kinds of problems you only encounter when you're on-site, on deadline, and under pressure.

Division exists to support creative teams — grips, riggers, designers, fabricators, producers — with the modular tools and real-world support they need to pull off ambitious builds. Whether you're rigging a camera move, mounting a structure to a rooftop, or designing a branded pop-up, we help you make it happen.

What We Offer
Complete Rentals
From individual pieces to full structural systems, we rent one of the largest modular truss inventories in LA — including Modulus-X, custom staging components, and proprietary ModParts™.
Custom Design Solutions
Bring us a napkin sketch or a 3D file — we help engineer the rig. Our team designs structural systems that support signage, lighting, cameras, and immersive environments, tailored to your timeline and footprint.
Product Development
From one-off tools to repeatable ModParts, we handle CAD, prototyping, refinement, and in-house production. If you need a specialty adapter, bearing, or rigging solution — we can build it.

Who We Are
Division was founded by two working grips — Brendan Riel and Connor Colby — who’ve spent years solving problems on set, behind the scenes, and under pressure.
We didn’t start this company to be a vendor. We started it to be a resource — for grips, riggers, producers, and creatives who need reliable gear and real support.
We’ve stood in freezing parking lots rigging lazy susans, strapped down flyswatters at magic hour, and loaded trucks long after wrap. We know that no two builds are the same — and that’s exactly why we built Division.
We make tools that are modular, adaptable, and field-proven.
